Winner of South Africa's Top 10 Best Loved Ads, this little gem was a gamble that paid off. This was no ordinary commercial. It was centered around our “main character” Zuko who had no idea what was actually going to happen. The actress had no idea we had flown in her best friends to celebrate her birthday with her (after we had timed the shoot to be on her birthday too). I had my heart set on real, raw, honest emotion to bring to life the message that spending time together - in a Mugg & Bean - will always be more valuable than dropping a message via social media.
